Power Builder preventing login to dashboard

Updated to WP5.2.3 and suddenly Page Builder by SiteOrigin prevents login to dashboard. The plugin works but prevents users from login in. Have other plugins installed so I tried to deactivate them all and the problem is when Page Builder active and disappears when disabled. I have Version 2.10.11 installed. We also have SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle that does not look like it causes any issues.
Any ideas? Thanks!
Thansk!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

Try confirming the issue by temporarily deactivating all plugins and then only activating Page Builder.

If the issue persists in this stage, please, upload a screenshot of the issue to imgur.com or a sharing site of your choice.

yes, I have deactivated all the plugins, even the ones network active (running WP Mu here) and all is good, then activated ONLY one- Page Builder and the login page stopped working.
get this error (ive seen this error before-thrown by plugins)

    (WP 5.2.3 php 5.6.31 PageBuilder 2.10.11)

    Thank you!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks.

The error, unfortunately, doesn’t provide any details. We haven’t ever encountered an issue like this so I don’t have any information to provide based on prior cases. Page Builder isn’t operating within the login system so I’m not sure why a login error is occurring with the plugin activated. My suggestion is to enable debug and see if you can get a more detailed error in your debug.log file.

    Hi, I Work Here

Since you’re running PHP5, the following might be applicable.

    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/292148/wp-admin-pages-return-err-empty-response

Although I’m not sure that explains why this is only happening when Page Builder is activated.

If you aren’t specifically reliant on PHP 5.6.31 you could also consider upgrading to PHP 7+.

    Hi, I Work Here

    A quick update.

We’ve run two separate tests locally on different machines using WordPress 5.2.3 set up as a network and the latest Page Builder. Running PHP 5.6.35 in one test and PHP 5.6.40 in the other. We’re unable to replicate a login issue at the moment.

(We also run Page Builder on a network WordPress site on demo.siteorigin.com with the latest WP and Page Builder but using PHP 7.)

Thanks for your reply. We will have to move to PHP7 rather sooner than later but not just yet.
For now, I found a way around the login issue, by using wp-admin/users.php page which works fine.
Debug just cased all the sites to go down..which we can’t afford so that will have to wait as well.
