Photo Gallery Help

I am using SiteOrigin with the Origami theme. I need to add a photo gallery page, similar to the way a photo gallery works in native WordPress. I would like thumbnails that when clicked open full sized images. To that end I added a gallery of images as I have done with WordPress sites, and instead of having rows of thumbnails, as I expected, There was a slider of images (and the images do not fit in the slider, but that is anther problem). I then attempted to add a Gallery Widget with the SiteOrigin page builder, but I cannot find away to add images to the widget. If I add an Image Widget, and then import an image, it appears outside the Gallery Widget. I am flummoxed. For now I just add images, with the Image Widget, that cannot be enlarged, but I am hoping that there is a solution to my problem. Thank-you to whoever can help me.
