PageBuilder not working | FollowThePuck.com

The actual site is now loading as if it were Editor-mode only (post not page), widgets not working. I’ve deactivated all of the plugins except for PageBuilder and the SiteOrigin and I’m getting the same result.

When I try to edit the site, it keeps referring me back to the Editor. I click on the tab for Page Builder, save it, and it again reverts back to the “Editor”” tab. My PageBuilder tab still has all of my SiteOrigin Editor widgets in place but it appears that the Editor is overriding PageBuilder.

I have not added any new plugins nor has there been any new updates in awhile. I use and edit the widgets several times a day.

I was busy working on the website earlier, the site went down completely due to some database issue, and then it came back all messed up.

Now, I even went as far as deleting Page Builder and Widgets and then adding them again. No improvement.

I have another new site that I am working on, prepfootballcentral.com, same settings, same them, and that site seems to be just fine.

Frustrated.

    Hi Doug Hagen,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing.

Please don’t do this. This could very well save the broken version of the page which is why it keeps break.

Can you please run a plugin conflict test a page you haven’t saved since this issue started occurring?
Once you’ve done that, and if it didn’t help/work, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    HI Alex,

It looks like someone went in and was able to fix what was ailing my site. Thank you! The SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle has an update ready. Can I update it? Is everything good to go?

    Hi Alex S and/or SiteOrigin,

I am thankful that my site is back up with my preferred layout. However, I duplicate pages A LOT but for some reason, now, when I go to select “Duplicate this as draft”, its picking a random page other than the one I’m requesting.

Such as, I’m trying to duplicate the MN Boys A Rankings current page but when I go to edit the draft, the layout is for a random team schedule or scoreboard page, etc.. The Permalink shows the rankings link with the -2 at the end but the layout is for a completely different, random page.

It does the same thing if I try to duplicate the current front page.

Is the “Duplicate Page” plugin conflicting with the SiteOrigin Editor? Or, are you still in process of fixing the original problem?

    Alex / SiteOrgin,

My site is all mucked up again. I worked on my site all day, all night until 9AM this morning (Thursday) and it was working great. Now, after sleeping all day, I return at 5:30PM and its back to bad layout. Help!!

    Hello,

SiteOrigin Editor is still not working on my site today. I would really appreciate your help to fix the problem or tell me how to fix it.

  8. 3 months, 12 days ago Doug Hagen

    Hello? Anyone?

If you can’t fix it or you are delayed in trying to fix it, please let me know. I need to know how to proceed. Do I need to stop using SiteOrigin Editor altogether and maybe try BeaverBuilder? I get over 4,000 pageviews per day during hockey season and right now we are in the middle of the season. The site is unusable for me in its current condition.

Just let me know where we are at and I will go from there.

    Hi Doug,

Very sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, we’re not always able to provide timely support for free users due to the very high volume of free support we offer.

Please note that we never actually had a chance to log into your website so that suggests the issue fixed itself. What was the difference between when created us an account and when you found the editor working without issue? I ask because something must have changed during that time period for this issue to resolve itself.

Regardless, would it be possible for us to create a backup of your website for local testing?

Regarding the Duplicate page issue. That doesn’t appear to be related as we’re unable to replicate this issue locally and we haven’t received other reports of this plugin having issues. I’m unsure what’s causing that issue so I’m unable to provide any sort of suggestions towards resolving that issue – sorry mate.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for getting back to me.

Well, I’m perplexed as to how it fixed itself. Nothing changed. I went to bed, woke up, and found it working. So, I figured you or someone at SiteOrigin fixed something. I then worked on it all day and overnight to catchup on updating. It was fine for almost 18 hours. Then I went to bed 9AM local time, got up at around 5PM, and it was back to broken again. Ever since then, it has been that way. The only thing that changed was there was an update available for the SiteOrigin Widgets. That made me think that SiteOrigin found something and fixed it. I went and applied the update. The site was still working fine.

You can absolutely create a backup if you wish. Before I added you as an administrator, a local guy tried to help me, installed a backup plugin, and he did a backup. He actually fixed my problem temporarily too by going in, removed all of the plugins, and then added them back on again. It worked for a little while and then it broke. I tried to do the same thing as he did but there were no changes.

So, the site has been back up and running twice temporarily since a week ago Thursday with no drastic changes made.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Doug,

Thanks. I have created a backup and run a quick plugin conflict test and this issue no longer occurs. Would it be okay if I run a plugin conflict test on your website? This combined with what the other person found suggests there’s a plugin conflict occurring.

    Hi Alex,

    Please do.

    Thank you!

  14. 3 months, 9 days ago Alex S Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Doug,

Sorry for the delay. I tried running the plugin conflict test last night but SiteOrigin Page Builder was working at the time. I just had another look and it’s working again. To clarify, is this issue still occurring for you at the moment? If so, can you please send me a message when you SiteOrigin Page Builder stops working again.

    Hi Alex,

That is really peculiar. I thought, again, that you had gone in and fixed it after I went to bed early Monday morning.

I check the site regularly. When I went to bed at 4AM-ish Monday morning, the site was still broken. When I woke up at 2PM local time, I checked it first thing and it was working again.

At one point Sunday evening, between 6PM and 10PM, I noticed that the server was down and my site was down. I notified my provider and my site was back up rather quickly but the plugin was still broken.

I have been working on the site since I woke up Monday afternoon and I have been working on it off and on with no problems, almost 12 hours straight. I will be working on the site for awhile yet this morning.

If it breaks again, I’ll let you know.
