Page width (How to make it wider)

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

The pages of the site, although I set them as full width no title, still the width looks narrow. I would like the grey background to cover all the widht of the screen, or most of it (http://simpletrading.jp/?page_id=2355) The homepage width is wide and it seems it stretches to the screen that is viewing the page (http://simpletrading.jp/). However the other pages I don’t know how to make them look as the homepage width.

I was looking websites from other people for inspiring me, and I would like to have width similar to this website> http://www.hakuhodo-consulting.co.jp/service/branding-growth/

Please could you help me?
Thank you in advance.

    I have been editing the homepage with themify, so now the homealso doesn’t look with full width. Is there a way to make it full width like in the demo?

    Hi Juan

    We can achieve this with a little custom CSS.

    From your dashboard navigate to Appearance->Custom CSS and enter the following.

    /*wide content*/
    body.layout-full.responsive #page-wrapper .full-container {
        max-width: 1600px;
    }

    This will give you the desired effect.

    Let us know how you get on

    Is it possible to fill the screen in full width in some text boxes, like the footer that is from left to right the same color?

    Hi Juan

    I don’t believe it is possible with themify without using some fairly significant custom CSS.

    Theme Vantage, and all SiteOrigin themes come bundled with the SiteOrigin PageBuilder which gives you the same layout functionality as themify, with the added advantage of being able to specify any inserted row as full width. It may be worth some effort to switch your layout to use this instead.

    Hope this helps

    Hi Juan

    Above Magus mentions being able to set a Page Builder row as Full Width Stretched. For more information on how to do this, please see: the Row Layout heading here: Page: Styling a Page.

    In summary, edit any Page Builder row by clicking the wrench icon far right > Edit Row > click the Layout tab on the right then use the Row Layout drop down menu to set the layout to Full Width Stretched. It sounds like this might help you achieve what you’re looking for.
