When navigating on the site, the page flickers. Very annoying. Can this be fixed?
Hi Simon,
This is not normal behaviour in North. As such, I want to rule out a possible plugin conflict before proceeding with other options.
Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
I’ve deactivated the non-siteorigin plugins and cleared the cache. Still the same problem…
Can I activate the plugins again now?
Hi Simone,
Yes. I’ll look into this over the weekend and try and replicate this – I’m sorry for such a delay. :(
Perhaps Andrew has a look at this as well… See the thread “one-pager something”
I don’t think that the brief flicker you see when clicking an anchor link is solvable using CSS. It’s something I’ll need to log and see if we can fix in the smooth scroll itself.
Oke, that makes sense.
Thanks :) I’ve logged the challenge and found a couple of Stack Exchange threads discussing the specific code challenges involved. I’ll discuss it further with Adi, our North developer as soon as possible next week.
super!
