Page Builder v2.29.1 “There has been a critical error on this website.”

hi,
just ran the update of Page Builder to 2.29.1 and it causes There has been a critical error on this website. on the pages on the website
admin etc still ok just the actual pages themselves
we are on wp 6.2.3
have disabled the plugin for now

    Thanks for getting in touch. Are you perhaps able to enable WP_DEBUG in your WordPress wp-config.php file, upgrade, and then let us know the error details? Your WordPress wp-config.php file is located in your WordPress root folder, accessible via FTP or your hosts File Manager interface.

    Hi Peter,

    Thank you for the error log. I’ve come up with a fix for that error, and you can download a patched build by clicking here.

    Before proceeding, do a backup.

    Navigate to PluginsInstalled Plugins and deactivate Page Builder by SiteOrigin and then delete it. Scroll to the top of the page and click Add New, Upload Plugin and upload siteorigin-panels.2.29.2-beta.zip. When prompted, activate it. Does the error persist for you?

    hi Alex,
    at the moment having the plugin disabled doesn;t seem to be causing us issues, so for now i think i will leave as is.
    as don;t want to take the risk as a bit overloaded at the moment.
    i hope you don;t mind, am grateful for you doing the work on it, when it goes live into 2.29.2 i will post on here the results
    obviously if the users complain i will use the patch
    ( hope your new year isn;t being too stressful )

    Hi Pete,

    That’s completely understandable. We’ve just pushed this fix live and you should be notified about it within the next 12 – 24 hours (WordPress notifies sites of updates in waves).
