Page Builder doesn’t work after update

Hi Alex,

i have exactly the same problem as Daneeta today.

Before the update, I used Page Builder to build some pages. Now, when I open one of those pages, I’m automatically directed to the visual editor. When I click on Page Builder, the content, which was originally made in Page Builder mode, comes in as one big block of content and I cannot edit into it with Site Builder.

Could you please help me as well.

Thanks.

Best regards.
Simon

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Simon,

We’ve received a few reports of this happening after the most recent update. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to replicate this issue so far. At this stage, I suspect it’s as a result of a plugin conflict (which was introduced as a result of the update) or a very specific setting.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If that doesn’t help, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Simon

We’ve had another user report that clearing their caching plugin resolved this issue. Before proceeding with the instructions above from Alex, please give that a try. Thanks.

    Hei,

it was the caching plugin in combination with autoptimize.

    Thanks!
