Order posts in Post Loop by custom field

Hello,

I have added a custom field to my posts called “startdate”. In the Posts Loop I want to sort my posts by that field. I thought “Order by meta value” in the Post Loop settings might be the right place to do this. However, there is no option so select which meta value should be used for the sorting.

How can I achieve this?

    Hi Matt,

    You can specify the meta key by adding the following to the Additional field:

    meta_key=META KEY NAME HERE
