    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

I just had a quick look at your website and appear to have any submenus defined. If this isn’t the case, could you please show me a screenshot of your primary menu? (WP AdminAppearanceMenu)

    Hi Alex

I had removed it because it was not working but have replaced it as per the attached screenshot.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

    Thanks.

I’m able to get the about sub menu working without issue. Can you please try replicating this issue on another computer?

  6. 8 years, 6 months ago townaide

No, same problem on another machine with Chrome browser. Its not that it doesn’t work it just does not fold out when moused over.

If I click on the About link it folds out but how is a user meant to know there is a sub-item without having to click on each menu?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

Please try replicating this issue on the North demo site (Home and Shop are have sub menus). To clarify, the menu isn’t designed around showing on click and instead it’s designed to show on hover so it’s really odd that it’s the reserve for you. For reference, here’s me hovering over your menu items and the demo menu items:

Same problem using your demo site, I disabled all extensions and cleared the browsers cache but that didn’t help.

    Chrome version I’m using is: 55.0.2883.87 m (64-bit)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

Hm, this is tricky. I’m using the exact same version and as you can see from the above gif it’s working without issue. If possible, could you show me what happens when you try and replicate what I did in that gif? Sorry about this!

What did u use to make the gif?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

Oh, it doesn’t have to be a gif or anything like that – even a video from your phone will do. Regardless, I use ShareX.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

Thanks. Can you please try doing that again but this time, can you please send me the contents of your console? Please refer to this guide on how to access your browser console.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

That’s perfectly normal. Hm, to clarify, were you logged into the website you tested this?

I’m going to forward this to Andrew to see if he has any ideas.

  16. 8 years, 6 months ago townaide

No I was not logged in at the time

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

Does the issue occur when you’re logged out? This, so far, is the only difference I can see as I’ve never logged into your website.

  18. 8 years, 6 months ago townaide

Yes this occurs when logged in or out

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

    Okay. :(

Now just to confirm – you’re only able to replicate this issue in Chrome, correct?
Are you able to replicate this issue in Incognito mode?

  20. 8 years, 6 months ago townaide

I have just tried disabling all plugins which didn’t help then I deleted the theme and reinstalled still no better!

  21. 8 years, 6 months ago townaide

Only in Chrome and Incognito mode the same

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

Can you get anyone else to replicate this issue? I’ve asked a number of people and none of them have been able to. :(

  23. 8 years, 6 months ago townaide

Ive just tried another machine and it works but cant understand that its not working on two others. It must be the way they have been setup somehow?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Townaide,

Hm, that suggests that there’s something on computer A causing you issues. I would recommend comparing your browser settings from computer A with computer B.
