Need to change page template

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

I’m trying to change the page template of my home page to “Default template” so that the title bar section disappears.
However, every time i change it from “home template” to “default template” in the page attributes section and click update, it automatically reverts to home template.

How can i change it to the default template?
Alternatively, is there a way to change the home template so that the title section isn’t displayed?

Thanks!

    Hi Elke,

It’s not directly possible to alter the Page Template of the homepage. This is okay though as you can disable the Page Title by adjusting the Page Settings of your home page. Please open your home page in the editor and find the Page Settings box on the right and untick Page title.

    Hi Alex,
Unfortunately there is no Page Settings box. I only have a Page Attributes box, that doesn’t show Page title.
Page Settings also doesn’t show under Screen options.

    Hi Elke,

Thank you for clarifying. My above post was written under the assumption that you were using our theme. You’ll need to reach out to the developers of Agile as we don’t restrict the homepage page template for non-SiteOrigin themes.
