Missing Page Builder Tab in WordPress Pages and Posts

I’ve updated to 2.9.0 and the tab inside a WP page or post is completely missing. There’s no way to enable the drag and drop functionality. I have not updated to Gutenberg as of yet, but wondering if I should? So far, my pages look okay from the user perspective, but the backend is using shortcodes rather than the tab/drag drop icons. Can someone explain how to fix this?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Carissa,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If that doesn’t help, do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hi Alex!

Thanks for your help! Looks like it was an issue either with an outdated Theme My Login or the WP Courseware plugin I was no longer using. I’m not sure which one did the trick, because I kept Theme My Login active, but had to go deeper into settings to allow it to update. I did shut off WP Courseware, however, then tested again after emptying the cache. Now it works! Yay!

    Thanks so much!
