Metaslider Widget suddenly missing
Hi, I`m using SiteOrigin Widgets and Page Builder since almost 9 years. Today I noticed that my Metaslider slideshows disappeared. I found out that the Metaslider widget seems to be broken.
“The widget MetaSlider_Widget is not available. Please try locate and install the missing plugin. Post on the support forums if you need help.”
But the Metaslider works – in some news segments I just use the shortcode and it works?
Is there any changes in your system? Thank you for your help!
I use the Vantage theme, Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle from SiteOrigin.

3Hi Christoph
The MetaSlider Widget is functional when I test it on one of our demo sites. You can perhaps temporarily deactivate all plugins except for those authored by SiteOrigin and MetaSlider and then try to insert a MetaSlider Widget again to see if a working baseline is available.
Hi, when I try to add a new widget the page builder, the widgets menu doesn´t show any Metaslider widget anymore.
Unlike here: https://www.metaslider.com/docs/metaslider-and-siteorigin/
“In the top-left corner find the “Search Widgets” box. Search for “MetaSlider” and click on that result.”
That´s strange because it worked for severeal years… How can it disappear?
MetaSlider is available via the Page BuilderAdd Widget interface in our testing installation.
You can try running a series of tests:
– Ensure there are no pending updates for Page Builder or MetaSlider at DashboardUpdates.
– Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Page Builder and MetaSlider, re-test the issue.
– Temporarily switch to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen and re-test the issue with only Page Builder and MetaSlider activated.
