Menu link to sections on same page

Hello,

I’m using the Fresh theme and am trying to use the one-page feature that it comes with. I’d like the menu links to page jump to sections on that same homepage. How can I go about setting this up?

Thanks,
– Jessie

    Hi Jessie,

Please refer to this article to learn how to do page jumps work.

Now to do this you have two options. Link to a specific row id or to a link (like the above article). For the former, you can set a row id by opening the editor and finding the relevant row. Click the wrench icon and then head over to the Attribute settings group. Set the Row id – lower case, no spaces.

Now please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceMenu and click the custom links option on the left. Set the label to the desired label and set the URL to http://a – this will be changed in a second. Add the menu item and then click the arrow on the inside right and change the URL to your id – make sure to prepend #

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I don't think either of those options will work. I had already read that article, but the problem I was running into was that I can't switch into Text Editor mode, because I'm using Page Builder, and it says it would clear my content if I revert to the Text Editor mode. Do you have any ideas given that?

    Thank you!

    Hi Jessie,

Neither methods require you to make markup adjustments.

The method outlined in the WordPress article could be done via a SiteOrigin Editor widget (included in the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle) or a text widget.

The other method I outlined can be done via Page Builder – in fact it requires it as you’re specifically using Page Builder functionality. Here’s a video of Ian doing basically what I outlined for SiteOrigin North – ignore the section on page settings, that’s purely for the SiteOrigin North.
