the above listed CSS did not work to “center align & no repeat ” the Background image
pls see if you can alter the css

In that case please disable the masthead background image in the Vantage theme stings and put this into your custom Cs’s.
header#masthead .hgroup { background: url(/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/header-glow.png)center no-repeat; }replace the file path with the path to your background image
