Hello,
how can I create the similar look as you have on your homepage?
I mean
the semitransparent menu bar,
the second layer with the buttons over the picture
and also the paralax effect of the picture.
I assume it will be really simple with your vantage theme :-)
thanks
Lubor

    Hi Lubor

    Thanks for your support.

Unfortunately, this isn’t possible without some custom coding. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.

Sorry we don’t have better news right now.

If you need this urgently, you could always post a job on https://codeable.io/.

by custom coding you mean the custom css or custom html?

  3. Andrew Misplon Staff 10 years, 9 months ago

The menu component should be possible using CSS only. The parallax component I’m not sure. We’re hard at work on our Widgets Bundle but unfortunately don’t yet have a parallax widget or background feature in Page Builder to offer. If the right plugin could be found then no custom coding would be required for this aspect.

Wish this were possible but at the moment it’s unfortunately not possible to replicate the SiteOrigin.com home page using Vantage in it’s standard form.

    Background Image

Please check the Design heading here:
    Page: Styling a Page

You can add a background image to a row. Using the Layout tab you can also set Row Layout to Full Width Stretched.

The combination of these settings should help you build the layout you’re after.

Andrew confusing is that if I open Row-Edit Row I cannot see Desig tab ther, its only Theme Tab whichh look similar but not the same. And if I put backround impge link there it shows in really small height on the page.

Apologies for the confusion. Vantage has certain legacy problems to overcome with Page Builder. If the row has no content in it then the background will look small in height. We need to either add content or use Attributes to add a style to add padding to the row.

      Hey Dave

Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. We’ll hopefully have more to offer in this regard in the near future.
