logo problems

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

I’m trying to upload my logo.
When I upload in png format the thumbnail doesn’t show in my media library, and I can’t edit the photo (crop, scale) in any way. And when I refresh my homepage the logo is really freaking huge.
Same thing happens when I upload the logo in jpg format…HELP!
Also, I should mention that even though I’m able to see a huge logo on my homepage, I’m always getting an HTTP error message when uploading in png to my library. Maybe that has something to do with it?

    Hi Michael

Sorry to hear about this challenge. We’re most likely looking at two problems here. If you switch themes you’ll most likely find the media library problem is theme independent.

    Logo:

Your logo is 1700 x 760px. Vantage allows a lot of logo size freedom, it will render what you upload. So what you’ll need to do here is reduce the size of your logo to the size you’d like it displayed at. Vantage will only restrict it at 1080px which is what it’s doing now.

    Media Library:

Please take a look at the tutorial outlined here, it is often the route to fixing the error you described: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-image-upload-issue-in-wordpress/
