Inserting a site wide widget on cloned layouts

Hi SiteOrigin!

Love your product and we’ll be looking at upgrading to premium soon. As we start using Page Builder on our websites, I’ve come across a problem that I could use your support on.

For our subpages, we have created a master layout which we clone from page to page. There are sections though within this template that are static across every page (example, a promotional image). From time to time, we change this image however we want to avoid having to go through every single page to make the change. In some cases, we are adding a new image so simply overwriting the image is not a solution.

Is there a way to insert a widget (from Appearance > Widgets) into a page builder so we can control content within a layout block so that we have a single location to update certain elements?

Thank you,

Dave

    Hi Dave,

This is possible with the Download: SiteOrigin Premium – Every Addon, One Subscription | SiteOrigin Custom Post Type Builder plugin addon. This functionality will allow you to specify a prebuilt template for each pages/posts for that custom post type. You can also (optionally) lock certain rows/widgets to allow for them to be synced.
