Increase the size of icon and change from circle to square?

I wish to increase the size of the icon. I already have “large” selected but find it far too small as I wish my selected image/icon to really stand out?
How do change from a circle to square icon?
How do I add text or call to action button to the top of my header?

Regards

Lee

I’m having a similar problem. I edit the text, paragraphs, font etc.. and press apply. Says Changes saved but when I refresh the site there is no editing. Just a block of plane text.
Yes I’m very new at this! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lee

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Please try switching to the SiteOrigin Features Widget, it has the extra options you’re looking for. It’s basically an evolved version of the Circle Icon widget you’re currently using. To get access to this widget you’ll need the following plugin installed;

    Hope that helps.

    Great.

I am now able to add my own image and adjust the size.

However, how do move the image so it sits above my text in the middle (like the homepage icon examples)?

My added image shows as a square, how do I make it circle?

Also I have added text under the image using the text widget however the spacing between the text lines are too big. How do I reduce down the line spacing so it looks like the homepage icon examples?

    Many thanks in advance

    Lee

    Hi, I Work Here

The widget should be center aligned already. Please send through a link and I’ll check the problem out.

When you open the Features widget check the Container Shape drop down menu, ensure that’s set to Round. Then check your image. If it has a background that is square, then it will cover the container, your icon should ideally have a transparent background, save it as PNG.

Rather add the text to the Text field within the widget itself.

Docs for this widget can be found here: Page: Features Widget Documentation

    Hi Andrew,

    Still no joy.

    The link is http://www.addlivingspace.co.uk

You will see my problem on the homepage half way down on the left hand side.
The icon is round but my image is square (the image is a PNG). The word extension is not central to the image.

I need help to make the image round and have a background icon also round to create a outline?
I want to have the word extension central?

    Thanks

    Lee

    Hi, I Work Here

Your image is square to start out with, this is the challenge. The idea with this widget is that you’d upload your own icon with a transparent background (PNG) OR upload an image as you have done, square, but expect that result.

The title Extensions underneath is being entered by the Visual Editor widget. That content is always left aligned. An easy way to resolve this would be to remove the widget title and insert the title into the body of the Visual Editor widget. You can select heading 3 (h3) from the drop down list in the editor. If you can’t see the drop down list to select h3, click the last button on the first row of the editor to toggle the toolbar. You can then use the alignment button to center the text.

In summary, the Features Widget or Circle Icon widget unfortunately don’t to my knowledge function in the manner you’d like them to. The image is in a layer above the circle/shape. If you’d like that image to be round it needs to be exported in that format before being added to the widget.
