Import Consultant Site Pack fails

By hoecksteen, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

I have downloaded the zip from https://siteorigin.com/pack/consultant/
I created a clean new install of wordpress (4.7.2)
I imported the zip and run the installer
The theme North is installed with all the siteorigin pluggins
The homepage is empty – There is no content (pages, posts or media)
None of the example text, images and setup is present
There is just a blank page with “”Oops! That page can’t be found.“”
I have tried the import several times
I have tried with a clean install of WP
Please help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Hoecksteen,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with importing the Consultant site pack! Can you please clarify who you’re hosted with? This might not matter but you’re the second person who’s reported issues with this site pack so I’m just trying to work out if there’s any correlation between the two reports.

    Sorry for the late reply
I have had a death in my family that has been distracting me

For our public site, we use hosting with one.com but I had the same issue with on a local development with MAMP on OS-X
I have a second internal test machine with MAMP on Windows-10 that displayed the same error

I have been able to work around the problem by first installing the Mono Site Pack and then, on top, the Consultant
Both use the North theme so I thought that maybe this could work

I have now a working Consultant site without any further issues
I suspect that something is missing in the Consultant Site Pack

Please excuse my written English – It is not my mother tongue

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Pascal,

I’m sorry for your loss – no need to be sorry for the delay.

Thank you for the information, I’ll log it for testing and if it pops up again in the meantime I’ll recommend your workaround – thanks!
