Image widget not resizing any longer

I have been using your great widgets and pagebuilder for quite some time and am very pleased and never had problems until now.

For some reason the Image Widget does not resize images any more, they are displayed as 100% width in spite of settings in backend. When I try to troubleshoot and look in the code it says “inherit” on width but I can’t figure out why this has changed. The problem occurred one or two days ago. And another thing that happened recently is PageBuilder editor going missing in the backend on some pages. Frontend is fine but it is not possible to edit page anymore.

Can these two problems be related? Could there be a bug somewhere?

I removed all my own css to see if problem went away but it didn’t.

Super-grateful for help!

    Hi Helena,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Regarding being unable to edit your pages anymore, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hello Alex!

Thank you very much for answering me and so very sorry I did not reply. Didn’t have the time to sort out the problem at that time, we solved it for the moment by removing the images that did not look good and are only displaying images that work on size “full”.

However now we really have to find out why images are not resizing, only displaying as full. This is our url http://bosphorus.se/

    So very grateful for help!

    Hi Helena,

Can you please elaborate on why you think the images aren’t resizing? I ask because according to your markup they’re correctly outputting to resize correctly so they definitely should be. Hm. Maybe the better question is: What do you expect to happen vs what is happening?

    Hi Alex!

Thank you for reply. I think the problem doesn’t exist any more. I erased the plugin, cleared caches and started over and now it seems to be working. Before that the images showed big despite any css-settings I tried.

Sorry to have taken your time on this.

    All the best
