Instead of using the slider on the Vantage theme I added an image to the homepage under the menu.
However, when uploading an image it doesn’t display it as the full size but instead crops it. How do I get it to stretch across the space under the menu?

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to stretch this image to full width in Vantage. Something you can try is creating a slider and just insert a single frame with that single image and use it as the main home page slider. As far as I remember, the image should display without all the slider controls – which is what I imagine you’re after.
Greg, can not extend the image to full width in Vantage? The model that you have show a photo fully extended. I bought this theme because it was exactly what charmed me. I’m organizing my website and I’m not liking how is the slide show on the main page. Here the link: http://www.andrewfranca.com

On each page in Vantage you can set a Meta Slider using the right column drop down menu. It’s possible to use a single image slider, thereby displaying a full width image. This thread originally asked how one might do this.
