Howto change the width setting of the sidebar?

At the moment I’m creating a WordPress site with your Vantage theme. Very versatile, I’m impressed!

Using the Ultimate maps by Supsystic plugin I have placed a OSM map widget in the sidebar. This sidebar is only visible on the contact page, on my other pages I’ve hided it.

When I change the dimensions of the widget within the plugin settings I can only change the lenth of the map, when I change the width value nothing happens. I thing it’s because of the with setting of the sidebar itself.

I guess I have to add some CSS for changing this but I’m quite a newbie when it comes to CSS changes. Can you help me out to change the with sitewide, or on this specific page?

    Hi Martijn

    Thanks for reaching out.

I’ve added a snippet at the end of this page Page: CSS Snippets. Insert the two rules at AppearanceCustom CSS if you’re using SiteOrigin CSS or CustomizeAdditional CSS if not. Adjust the two values as required ensuring that whatever values you use, the two total to 95.049% when combined.

I’m sorry for my late reply. Strangely enough, I didn’t get a notification of the reply. I will look more often now for a reply.

Thanks very much for the CSS snippet. Is this 71.287% 23.762% width the standard spread of the theme?
