How to remove black space between Menu and Hero image?

Hi,

I have a few blank spaces at the top- between the menu and Hero image and then just below the hero image and the headline. How do I remove this blank space?

Thank you

    Hi Lyda,

    Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Yes, here is a link to the website: http://www.talkplustell.com/

    You can see the white space between the menu and the cover photo.. Please let me know how I can remove it.

    Hi Lyda,

    You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.

    .entry-content .widget_sow-hero.so-panel:first-of-type {
    	margin-top: -60px;
    }

    How does that look?

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    Hi,

    I used the code, but it only worked for 1 of the pages? The about page still has the space above: http://www.talkplustell.com/about/

    Hi Lyda,

    That’s happening due to the page title being visible. Please disable the page title via Page Settings and it’ll work as desired.

    Hi Alex,

    I can’t find Page Settings when editing a page though?

    Hi Lyda,

    Unfortunately, the previous advice only applies to the theme you were previously using. Your new theme is adding spacing via alternative CSS and that can only be overridden by adding CSS to your website. I’d like to help you with this issue, but unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of the support we’re able to offer on our free forums. There is a fair amount of custom work involved.

    We do offer this level of support to our premium users, so if you’d like to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then I can help you over email support.

    If you’d prefer not to upgrade to SiteOrigin Premium, then you can hire a WordPress developer from Codeable. They’ll charge you an hourly rate for any work done.
