How Do I Change Post Comment Area Appearance

Hi

I’m trying to fugure out how to change the look of the post comment area. I don’t want to discourage comments by requiring a name and e-mail address. However when I deactiveat the “require name and e-mail address boxes” the respective fields are still there for posting comments giving the impression that a name and e-mail address is required.

I can set display to none in CSS but then the website link field disappears also and I want to keep this. How can I just remobve the name and e-mail address field from the post content area. Thanks again for yor help.

    Hi Hugh

Comment author must fill out name and e-mail refers to whether those fields are required or not, it unfortunately doesn’t remove them. This isn’t currently a WordPress option.

I haven’t tried one in the past but you might consider a third-party plugin to modify the comment form:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=comments&sort=

OR something like Disqus that many users will be logged into already:

    https://disqus.com/

There is a WordPress plugin to assist with Disqus integration.

Facebook comments would also be another thing to consider.
