Home page very slow when plugin is active

Homepage on a website is running very slow (+30s to load) when this plugin is active. I deactivated and everything is running fine. I am using the Vestige theme found here.

Not sure what is going on. Plugin is up to date. I have also tried the previous version and it is still running slow.

    Hi Efren

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    Private Snippet

    Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and Private Snippet for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

    Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Thanks for the details. I’m not immediately seeing the issue. I’ll ask Alex here at SiteOrigin to take a look tomorrow, hopefully, he can spot the issue.

    Your theme is adding widgets to the Widgets Bundle. That’s great and does suggest the developers have worked quite extensively with the Widgets Bundle so I’d assume they usually work nicely together.

    Is the home page loading quickly for you? On my end, only the logo and top header load first, then after a couple of seconds things start coming up. The admin bar up top doesn’t load for a while.

    Hopefully Alex can spot something to speed up the home page.

    Hi Efren,

    I’ve had a look around your website and it looks like a major element that’s slowing down your home page (regardless of SIteOrigin Page Builder) is your home page slider image. It’s really large and if you’re using a slower connection that alone could take 30 seconds. Can you please reduce that image file size to ideally below 750KB?
