Home page keeps reverting to posts page instead of static home page

I am using the Vantage theme and Pagebuilder for the site http://chemvalon.com
If I don’t do anything with the site for a few days, the home page reverts to the posts page, and shows nothing (no posts). Periodically I have to go back into the site and reset the static home page.

Part of the problem may be that the home page is called home, so http://chemvalon.com/home/ is the same as http://chemvalon.com.

How can I fix this so the home page does not change to the posts page? I swear it seems this is happening to the site without me even logging into the dashboard.

Thanks Andrew. I “think” the problem is fixed. What happened was I started out with the default home page, with a name like “we solve your problems,” then later created another home page which I named “home.” Besides the usual WP “Settings” section which we all know, is there another setting in the Vantage them where I should specify the home page?

    Hi Buck

Glad to hear you’ve made progress.

When you turn Appearance > Home Page ON using the toggle at the top it will assign a page called Home as your home page, it will do so via Settings > Reading. To make things a bit simpler, you could leave Appearance > Home Page OFF and work on whatever page you set as that home page at Settings > Reading. Ensure that your static home and posts page aren’t set to the same. WordPress will warn if you try do this.
