Hiding the masthead menu on the homepage in Vantage Premium

Hello – I’m using Vantage Premium and would like to hide the menu on the home page while allowing it to appear all of of the other pages. I tried to use some of the custom CSS that I found here in the forums for the Origami Premium template but no luck.
Can anyone help?

Thanks for running Vantage. Please try this under Appearance > Custom CSS:
```
.home .main-navigation { display: none; }
```
