Hide Page Title on one page – not all pages

Hello, I have read through many posts but…

How to hide page title on one page?:

I want to hide the page title on one page. There is no option in the page settings to select “-no title”. I don’t want to code the custom css to hide all page titles. The theme I am using is a word press theme called Simple Catch. I have been just leaving the site title blank to work around this for now but I then see no title in the Pages Section of the Dashboard and have to find the page by the ID nujmber only – cumbersome. More importantly, page titles affect SEO.

Thanks

    Hi Mich

    Thanks for posting your question.

The instances of SiteOrigin documentation or forum posts referring to a page setting are unfortunately for SiteOrigin themes. For third-party themes, the theme author would be best positioned to lend a hand.

Thank you for the response. To clarify, even though I am using the SiteOrigin page builder it is the theme that dictates the option for more robust page settings? Third party theme rules?

You’re most welcome. That’s correct; Page Builder isn’t in control of the page title, the theme is handling the output and styling of the page title.

Thank you for your help and quick reply. I will have to try a SIteOrigin theme next.

    Hi Mich

Sounds like a plan, more to come on the new theme front soon.

If you have a bit of time, you could perhaps use a child theme and create a Page Template option without the page title. Any of the Large Language Models like ChatGPT will be able to help with that quite easily.

If you move to a child theme late in development, please see Post: Migrating Parent to Child Theme Customizer Settings.
