Gutenberg for non-PB pages

7 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 7 years ago

I have read some questions and answers on Gutenberg and Page Builder . I understand why my Page Builder pages are using classic, and understand the new page dropdown selection, but I have a number of old pages that are just plain ol’ wordpress (i.e. no Page Builder stuff) and they still seem to use the classic editor. Is there any way to make Gutenberg work on these??

    Hi loz

Thanks for reaching out and reading the forum, it’s most appreciated.

I wish we had a speedy solution to offer for this use case. Unfortunately, for the moment, the page’s content would need to be saved separately, outside of WP, the page deleted and deleted from Trash to free up the permalink and the page re-added.

If we can help with any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

    Hi loz

We’re looking into the existing non-Page Builder page issue at the moment. I’ll update as soon as I know more.

    Thanks

Hi :) Page Builder 2.9.7 has been released. Existing non-Page Builder pages will now reflect the current editor which is the block editor post WP 5.0. Sorry about that bug. 2.9.7 adds a setting at SettingsPage Builder: Use Classic Editor for new posts which can be disabled. Hope that helps :) All the best.
