For some reason I can’t change the font anymore using the drop down menus. It is currently set to the sans serif Muli, but it shows as a standard serif font.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi ted

    Thanks for running Vantage.

Please try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve:

    1. Dashboard > Updates: ensure everything is updated that has a pending update.

    2. Temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins. Do this at once. The full steps are outlined here: https://siteorigin.com/troubleshooting/identifying-plugin-conflicts/.

    3. If you’re running a child theme, re-test with the parent theme activated.

    4. If you’re using Custom CSS, temporarily remove your selectors and re-test.

    5. If you’ve edited style.css or other theme files (this isn’t ideal), consider re-installing the theme.

    Thanks Andrew.

There were no pending updates, I tried disabling plugins, I have no child themes, and I tried removing the custom CSS. I also just tried deleting the theme and re-installing it.

I can change fonts to Lucida, Georgia and Courier, but none of the rest.

This problem originally occurred in only IE. I tried getting around it by installing a Google Fonts plugin. After that, the problem has been in all browsers. I uninstalled that plugin immediately, but perhaps there’s some relic of this plugin lingering somewhere?

After trying all this, I saw your post here: https://siteorigin.com/thread/google-web-fonts-not-working/
I did find advanced-cache.php , and I deleted it. Perhaps this is what caused my original problem.

    Hi, I Work Here

Can you now please set your font to the desired font in the Customizer and let me know when that’s done.

    Done

    Hi, I Work Here

Your font is now rendering as Muli on my side. If it’s not doing so on your side, please try clearing your browsers cache or test in Incognito/Private Browsing mode.

Hmm. I tried on Chrome, IE and FF, and with incognito. Cleared cache too. Couldn’t see it working on my end. I’m reverting back to Lucida until I can figure out what happened.

Thanks for your help. I’ll revisit this later when I have more time.

Mmm that’s strange for sure. Ok, drop us a line when you get a chance to look into this again and we can try to do some more troubleshooting together.
