Hi Anders

    Thanks for reaching out.

When able, please, could you check that the following two settings are enabled at CustomizeTheme SettingsBlog:

    Featured image on archive
    Featured image on single

If that doesn’t help, please, let us know, is the issue happening on a normal archive/blog page or in a custom post type?

Thanks for the quick reply Andrew,

Attached you will find screenshots from a brand new (only minutes old) installation with WP 5.8.2, North 1.19.2, Classic Editor 1.6.2, and Page Builder 2.15.0

In the editor I miss "Page Featured Image, Display, Display the page featured image on this page.” In Page settings. Both for Pages and Posts. In Posts, the featured image is shown but not in Pages.

In inspector (Chorome) I miss the
…
under
in Pages.

And yes, Featured image on archive and Featured image on single are checked 👍

    Hi Anders

    Thanks for your feedback.

When editing a page, if you click Screen Options top right, is Featured Image enabled?

  5. Anders Liljenberg 4 years, 3 months ago

    Yes, Featured Image is enabled.

  6. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

Thanks. To confirm, Page Settings and Featured Image are enabled in Screen Options as shown here https://imgur.com/a/gaA6mKB

  7. Anders Liljenberg 4 years, 3 months ago

    Yes, see attached screenshot.

  8. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

Thanks. The forum supports email replies but, unfortunately, doesn’t offer the ability to upload media. You can upload screenshots to any public URL and post the link.

  9. Anders Liljenberg 4 years, 3 months ago

Okay, here’s a link to all the screenshots https://north.chords.agency/screenshot/

  10. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

Thanks. The featured image is working on the author archive page. Please, could you let me know the page used for the blog page? I checked /blog but that doesn’t seem to be it.

  11. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

On the Sample Page, is there a featured image that has been added? I can’t see from the screenshot. Thanks.

  12. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

The featured image is showing on the date archive page too.

  13. Anders Liljenberg 4 years, 3 months ago

Yes, The featured image is shown in posts but not in pages. Sorry, I don’t really understand what blog page you are looking for. (My lack of English skills)

Yes, the featured image is added to the Sample Page – https://north.chords.agency/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Ska%CC%88rmavbild-2021-11-10-kl.-20.08.44.png

What is most strange for me is that the featured image check box is missing in Page settings in the edit window both in posts and pages. It used to be under Page Title

  14. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

At SettingsReading, which page is set as the posts page?

  15. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

Featured Image wasn’t ever offered as a Page Template Setting as far as I’m aware. There is a screencast at the bottom of this page that I made some time ago Page: Page Template Settings.

  16. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

I’m not sure what’s happening on the Sample Page. The featured image is working on the following archive pages:

    https://north.chords.agency/2021/11/
    https://north.chords.agency/author/north-admin/

  17. Andrew Misplon Staff 4 years, 3 months ago

I’ll check on the missing setting at the post and page level and get back to you on that shortly.

  18. Anders Liljenberg 4 years, 3 months ago

I created a page “blog” and assigned it to Sample Page in settings. https://north.chords.agency/blog/

Thanks! The featured image is displayed on the blog home page for me. https://imgur.com/a/utqxDKa.

I’ll send you a build to fix the page issue as soon as we have it resolved. Sorry for the hassle. Thanks for letting us know about the issue.

    Hi Anders

I’m logging off for the night. Sorry for the hassle and taking a bit long to find the issue in my local installation. Thanks again for your feedback and patience. I’ve asked our developer Alex to assist when he’s back online and reply to you here.

    Thanks Andrew 👍

    Hi Anders,

I’ve identified the cause of this issue and come up with a fix. I’ve submitted this fix to the rest of the team and it should be in the next update. In the meantime, I’ve created a patched version of SiteOrigin North with this fix included. You can download it by clicking here.

    Before proceeding, do a backup.

Navigate to AppearanceThemes and change to a non-SiteOrigin North theme and then delete SiteOrigin North. Scroll to the top of the page and click Add New, Upload Theme and upload siteorigin-north.1.19.2.1-beta.zip. When prompted, activate SiteOrigin North.

    Kind regards,
    Alex

I am sorry to say that there was no change in the beta. Featured Image is still not displayed on Pages. And I still miss the Pages settings option for Display Featured Image as shown in https://north.chords.agency/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Ska%CC%88rmavbild-2021-11-10-kl.-21.39.34-Edit.png .

I followed your instructions and also installed LiteSpeed Cache (for what it’s worth) that my server supports.

Looks like there is something wrong related to the if statement ” && siteorigin_page_setting( ‘featured_image’ )” in content-page.php line 15. My humble guess is that siteorigin_page_setting( ‘featured_image’ ) do not exist.

    Hi Anders

Apologies for the hassle. I think there might have been an issue with the build Alex created. Please, try the following:
