Error Message When Editing Row Using Existing Layout

Hello,

I get an error message when trying to edit a row using an existing layout. I’ve been using the same layout for years but only recently did this start to happen. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to post images here so I’ll describe the problem as best as I can.

First problem:

I use the pre-existing layout named “Fitness Gym” for my header images on all my posts and pages. I only keep the first row and delete all the other rows that I don’t need. The problem arises when I click on ‘edit’ on the first row; it doesn’t allow me to edit but instead opens a white screen with a date in the left-hand corner. Example: Fri, 09 Feb 2024 09:39:20 GMT. Then it kicks me out of my blog post editing and returns to ‘all blog posts’.

The strange thing is that this only seems to happen with blog posts containing a background colour of my choice (#9CBFB4) on the header images.

Second problem:

What’s more, all the images on the aforementioned blog posts with background colour #9CBFB4 were deleted following the installation of two new plug-ins. I immediately deleted those plug-ins but that didn’t solve the problem. I proceeded to de-activate and re-activate all the other plug-ins and cleared all the cache in WordPress and in my browser but to no avail; the images are still missing. I contacted my web host but the only solution they suggest is restoring a backup (for a fee). I prefer to not restore a backup as all the changes I made on my website prior to this happening won’t be in the latest backup.

I’m thinking all this happened because of that error message showing a date on a white screen.

Can someone please help me?

Thank you very much!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lydia

If you’re using Wordfence, please see the following brief tutorial to resolve the date/time display issue:

Thread: Date appearing when trying to edit widgets in Page Builder

Unfortunately, I’m not sure what would have caused the images to be deleted. Deactivating and reactivating plugins doesn’t usually have any effect. If you’d like to run a plugin conflict test, you can temporarily deactivate all plugins except for your target plugin and then check to see if the issue persists. If you can’t find a working baseline, the test has failed. Are the images available in the WordPress Media Library is probably the best place to start.
