I am unable to use SiteOrigin because when it gets to the edit portion of setting up an area or widget, the left margin expands to a point I am no longer able to read what is to be edited. Once I press DONE, the basic entry returns as expected, but there is no content because I could not enter it. If there is a way to include a screen shot, I’ll send it, but I don’t find that in the forum either.
I have not tried to do anything in a normal page. I am currently working in LearnDash under a Topic, trying to deliver a video for training.
Hi Glenn
Thanks for reaching out.
Please, try deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins to see if a working baseline can be found. If a working baseline can be found, see below for the full troubleshooting steps.

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
I’ve done as you suggested and find nothing that makes things work as they should. However, I went to PAGE and created a new page then added a PageBuilder row with one and two columns. In all cases, the row edit left margin was set just to the right of the menu column, but when I tried to edit the widget in the row, a new window opened, the main window was greyed out and the left margin of the new widget editing window covered all but 3/8″ of the main window…about the same as when editing the widget in the TOPIC page in LearnDash, except in LearnDash the full menu column remained visible and covered the widget window on the left side. Again, I have screen shots if there is a way I can send them to you.
I just went back to the TOPIC page, set the menu column to “Collapse menu” and found that when I edit the widget, I can see the whole editing window. If I expand the menu, I lose what the menu covers in the editing widget window and am unable to collapse the menu again until I click DONE for editing the widget.
This leaves me an awkward work-around but is a situation that should be fixed as soon as possible. Please let me know if you can duplicate the issue. I’m not sure if you could even understand my rambling, a screenshot would be worth a thousand words.
Thanks for the feedback. I think this might be a LearnDash issue. My second reply here Thread: Page Builder and Learndash 3 explains why this problem is occurring, assuming you’re working through the same issue. Here is that reply in image format https://imgur.com/a/9AaqPta.
If the below works, please, report the issue to LearnDash.
Try going to PluginsAdd New, search for and install a plugin called Code Snippets. Once activated, add a new snippet, name it as you’d like, insert into the snippet body:
Select the option to run the snippet only in the WordPress admin, save and activate. Let us know how that goes.
Andrew,
Thanks for the help. It works again. I’ve also notified LearnDash about the issue…seems they should have fixed it in the last six months.
Sure, no problem. Did you make use of the function above?
