Customize single page header

Hello,

With SiteOrigin Corp theme you can change the header style of each page (light or dark menu, etc.). I would need to customize the header of the single page for a new post type I created. Is there a way to do this ? I already created the new loop/content templates.

Thanks in advance

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

On a separate note, if you aren’t using the Corp child theme from the Corp documentation, it’s worth looking at how that child theme is set up as Corp uses a minimized stylesheet. Page: Child Theme.

You could perhaps customize the header of your desired page using Custom CSS only. There should be body classes in place to make that possible. Are you familiar with using your browser to inspect the page source?

Hi, thank you for your help.

I’m using a child-theme for customization and configured that to be able to use my own styling in siteorigin-corp-child/styles.css file. I will use that for the single page to display custom taxonomy posts (by defining customized loop). I already did that multiple times.

When you edit a page with WordPress backend, there is a “page settings” section where you can customize the page layout, the header overlap, dis/enable page title. I’ve no problem with coding PHP/HTML/CSS and using the Firefox inspector, but as there is already everything I need when editing a page, I was wondering if this could be also applied to the single page.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the update.

It’s worth checking that the Corp stylesheet isn’t being loaded twice.

Here is how to load page settings for a custom post type: Page: Advanced Customizations.

I had finally some time to check that out and this is exactly what I need. Thank you very much for your help.

If I would like to add other functionalities to custom post types (for example , enabling the SO page builder), are there ressources with SO keywords/functions such as so-page-settings ?

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, glad to hear you’re making progress.

You can add Page Builder support for your post type from SettingsPage Builder.

Our developer documentation can be found at the following URL: https://siteorigin.com/docs/.

Oh, that was too easy. Will have a deeper look next time. Again, thank you for your help.
