Congratulations on an excellent piece of software – PageBuilder is extremely useful.
I would kindly appreciate a word of comment with regard to building custom Themes (Page Templates) with Page Builder.
I have found the following link: Use Page Builder layout as a custom page/post template and would like to confirm that Custom Post Type Builder indeed enables me to build my own theme. Is that correct?

P.S. I agree with the person who posted at Use Page Builder layout as a custom page/post template – the functionality of Custom Post Type Builder is not stated clearly enough. Also, on Page Builder by SiteOrigin you state that: “[PageBuilder] It’s free, and always will be. Page Builder is our commitment to the democratization of content creation. Like WordPress, Page Builder is, and always will be free. ” – that’s quite misleading given that developing custom themes/template designs requires one to pay for extra add-ons, isn’t it?

The Custom Post Type Builder does not allow you to create a theme. Instead, it allows you to build a custom post type and a page template that will be used for all posts for the created post type. For more information (and an example use case with setup) on the Custom Post Type Builder, click here.

It’s completely possible to develop custom themes and templates without any cost. The functionality that the Custom Post Type Builder adds is also completely possible to do without any cost as the Custom Post Type Builder is simply an interface to allow you to do it without writing any code. SiteOrigin Premium is an optional upgrade that will add additional features to extend our free plugins.

On a side note: I understand that one can create themes “by hand”, but I wonder if there is any open-source GUI/Drag-and-drop tool which you could recommend?
