Greetings to all.
I have created a custom map using Google Maps API and when it is tested locally with my system it works as expected.
Now I add my styles into the Custom Css, and then I copy my code into a Text (or Visual widget) using Page Builder 2.0.x, using a Vantage Premium Theme.
Now when the map is shown there are two unexpected behavoirs :
a) clicking on makers , in the InfoWindows text the “X” for closing is white on white so it’s not possible to see it.
b) I loose the the “+” and “-” zoom controls and the body icon for street view.
Al those (a & b) are visible when I test the code locally
I have also tried the SiteOrigin Maps Widget but frankly I was not able to see the InfoWindows marker texts for all my custom markers.
I will be glad to use the widget instead the custom code only if I can add multiple markers and their InfoWindows.
Hope to have described the problem clearly enough. Any help is greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need a look into the code. The site is not ready yet to be visited for external testing.
Best regards,
Alberto Viola
Hi Alberto
Sorry for the late reply here. The first thing I’d suggest is trying to identify what was different between your local testing and live environments. Do you have any additional plugins installed on your live server? Can you try disabling those plugins and see if that fixes the issue? Just be sure to clear any browser and site cache.
Failing that, can you send us a URL where we can see this issue in action to try diagnose what’s going on?
Hi Greg,
thanks for your reply.
Just to make it short, for this development I prefer using the SiteOrigin GMaps widget.
As far as I know at the moment I am not able to add InfoWindows to those custom markers added
Could you tell me if is it possible to add the InfoWindows to the custom markers?
Or If I am wrong, could you pleas point me some hints how to to that?
Thanks a lot for cooperation , best regards,
Alberto Viola
Hi Alberto
You can find our Maps widget documentation here:
Page: Google Maps
I’ll ask Greg to confirm, but to my knowledge it unfortunately isn’t possible at this time to add info boxes to the custom markers.
Unfortunately Greg has confirmed this. The Widgets Bundle is being developed all the time though, I’ve marked this as a feature request.
Thanks to all,
Looking forward to hearing some new announcement.
Best regards,
Alberto Viola
Thanks for your understanding here. All the best.
