Custom homepage not saving

9 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

Hi everyone. I’m new to this site and new to WordPress.

I am having an issue when trying to click the On button when creating a Custom homepage

When I get to the step Appearance > Home Page and select On > Save, it reverts back to Off and doesn’t update the page. Any ideas? It also got rid of the big image just underneath of the bar with About, Services, etc. and doesn’t show the call to action buttons or either of the items at the bottom…I’ve deleted the Vantage theme and re-installed but it didn’t come back up with the big image or the call to actions buttons…

    Hi Jmur1028

Sorry for the delay in replying. It’s possible that a plugin conflict is causing the ON/OFF toggle to not function correctly. A quick workaround for this would be to go to SettingsReading and manually assign a static home page. Then, go to Pages and edit that page, click on the Page Builder tab, click Prebuilt and then Theme Defined on the left, from there you can recreate the demo home page OR using the Posts/Page item in the left menu you can clone the existing default home page if you’ve made changes to it.
