Critical Error with Page Builder Upgrade

3 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 3 years ago

Hi, I’ve just upgraded to Version 2.18.4 but I’m getting a critical error on my wordpress site.

See message below. If anyone can help that would e great

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Page Builder by SiteOrigin.

First, visit your website (http://www.littleoakspreschool.co.nz/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (http://www.littleoakspreschool.co.nz/wp-admin/customize.php?return=%2Fwp-admin%2Fpost.php%3Fpost%3D39%26action%3Dedit) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
WordPress version 6.1.1
Active theme: Create-child (version 1.1.3)
Current plugin: Page Builder by SiteOrigin (version 2.18.4)
PHP version 7.4.25

    Hi Emma

Thanks for getting in touch. You can perhaps try re-installing Page Builder; it’s possible your update was interrupted, and only some of the files loaded.

Alternatively, if you’re able to enable WP_DEBUG in your WordPress wp-config.php file you can get the error details:
