Some time ago I was trying to implement continuous scroll for product pages and somehow lost the ability to navigate through pages.
I don’t actively support the site and only recently I was told that you can’t go next product page.
https://mishleta.com/product-category/chanti/lid/ previously I had the option to press and go to page 2, etc. which is now impossible.
Help is much appreciated.
Hi Stoyan
Thanks for reaching out.
If you turn Infinite Scroll off for the moment, pagination should return to the shop. I recommend doing this until we’ve resolved the issue. I’ll try get an update out for Vantage this week to sort this out. Sorry for the hassle.
The issue will be updated here when ready: https://github.com/siteorigin/vantage/issues/259.
The update you’ll see in DashboardUpdates once released.
Thanks :)
Thank you so much Andrew!
I made that part of code comment and now have the infinite scroll.
Excellent.
Many thanks again!
Cheers, Stoyan
Thanks for your understanding. Glad to hear your site is ok for the moment. I’ll get something like I did for Unwind in Vantage this week: https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-unwind/blob/develop/inc/jetpack.php#L64-L124.
Updates to follow :) Cheers.
Hi Andrew,
After the recent update these days I had to again isolate the infinite scroll.
I also decided to get rid of the “Back to top” arrow button.
While waiting the changes to propagate, I noticed that my page behave properly only under Chrome. For example it won’t load in IE and Firefox loads it only if you go to specific page, not the home page.
Any idea why is that?
Hi. The site is loading fine for me in Firefox when navigating to https://mishleta.com/. I’ll ask Alex to confirm for us. Have you perhaps tried clearing browser cache?
Infinite Scroll should be working normally now. Can you perhaps enable it so we can see the problem?
Thanks for your immediate response!
Yes, the infinite scroll feature is there after the change. Strangely, I am now able to load the page in other browsers.
That must be in my network and I asked as it coincided with the change that I made. Excuse me for bothering you!
I greatly appreciate your help.
Cheers!
One more question – is there a way that I can add functions.php under my child theme?
I tried doing so, but remember that the page won’t load.
Is it all ok now?
In your child theme do you only have this one addition?
If so, try my child theme here: Page: Child Theme. Use the starter link at the bottom to download the ZIP to your desktop. Switch to any other theme and delete your child theme and install ours. Then you can put the above CSS change back in style.css or in CustomizeAdditional CSS. However, if you have files in your child theme that I can’t see, then my instructions won’t make sense.
Yes, I have only that one which is in style.css
Thanks for sharing.
For sure :)
