Hi, i have built my frontage as i want it to be but now when i try to edit the english column (using qTranslate-X) I change the text on both?
How do I get the page builder to work on my english “page”?

Hi Missmoneyp
Thanks for reaching out.
Page Builder is unfortunately not compatible with qTranslate or qTranslate-X. Page Builder does work nicely with Polylang or WPML. Both plugins create duplicate pages for translation allowing Page Builder to function as normal.
Sorry we don’t have better news.
Crap ?
Ok, if I install one of them do I loose all of the information I have now?
How do I do this without loosing text?
Med vänliga hälsningar,
Unfortunately, I’m not sure. It all depends on how qTranslate-X is storing content. You’d need to do a little testing.
Polylang lets you link pages. So you can tell Polyang that pages 1 is English and that page 2 is the French translation for the English page. You can try temporarily de-activating qTranslate-X and checking what happens to your content.
Okey thanks! Will try that!
Med vänliga hälsningar,
For sure, let us know how it goes.
I looked now for a nice overview on switching between the two plugins and, unfortunately, didn’t find one.
What does that mean? That I need to copy paste all my pages? (Please tell me no ;)
Med vänliga hälsningar,
I’m afraid I haven’t checked this out. How did the test go? What happens when you de-activate qTranslate-X?
My previous comment just means: I looked for a tutorial to help you. I didn’t find one. That just means no-one has written a tutorial on this. Test things out, see how it goes. Thanks :)
Ah! Okey! I will check this now! Get back to you soon!
Med vänliga hälsningar,
Super :) Thanks. I’ll be back online a little later.
