Hello, I love this theme and have had no issues. I’m trying to put my site on maintenance mode, and have tried three separate plugins to do this but yet my site loads. Is this a conflict with the theme or am I doing something wrong? Please help ASAP.
Thank you

Hi Maria
Very glad to hear you’re liking Vantage. So the first thing to check with regards to maintenance mode plugins would be caching plugins. Do you have any caching plugins installed? These might interfere with a maintenance mode plugin.
Hi Greg,
Thanks for the reply. Not sure what happened, but as i check the site this morning it is in maintenance mode. It took a while longer. Could you explain why that happened so I know next time what to do. As for plugins, I have Akismet, clef, disable comments, easy pie maintenance mode, go daddy quick set up, hello dolly, limit login attempts, meta slider and siteorigin page builder. Could one of those be the culprit? Or was it just slow to apply the changes?
Thanks for the help.
Update: Now, without touching anything, the site has gone out of maintenance mode. Just tried to clear my browsers cache.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks
Hi Maria
Did you logout before checking your maintenance plugin? Either that, or you’ll need to check the site in Incognito mode or another browser that isn’t logged into your WordPress installation. If you’re logged in you won’t see the maintenance mode page and will go straight to the site.
