Can’t change Footer (colophon) background image

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

‘Save and Publish’ seems to commit the change, but on refresh or when viewing the page it does nothing.
In this video, I try removing the ‘broken’ file, saving, reuploading the new better file, saving again. The changes are viewed in the preview. But as soon as I go to the published/public version, the footer background image is broken again. When I go back, its as though the new photo was never uploaded.

Looks like the old background image I had in there (/test/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/navy_blue.png) is hardcoded in there somewhere and I can’t replace it.

Any help?

Thanks!

    Hi Daniel

    Thanks for running Vantage.

    Sorry to hear about this challenge you’re facing. It looks like you have under Appearance > Custom CSS the following:

    #colophon {
    background-image: url("http://onthehillfitness.com/test/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/navy_blue.png");
    }

    Try changing it there or removing that selector and adding via the Customizer.

    Hope that helps.
