Cannot see the Page Builder Tab in the Pages section

Hi,

I’m using the latest WordPress version (WordPress 4.5.3) and have setup and Activated the Siteorigin Page Builder Plugin.

However, I can’t see the ‘Page Builder’ tab in the Pages section, for new or existing Pages.

I found other threads talking about the same problem and have tried de-activating all non-Siteorigin plugins… nothing.

Please advise.

Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

    Please ensure you have the latest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder installed (2.4.10).

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Thanks Alex. I’ve added an account for you and you should get an invite.

    Version 2.4.10 is in use.

    I can now see the Page Builder.

    However, I have another problem that I hope you can help with.

    There are huge gaps in the Page between each or the Rows I’ve added. See an example here: http://infinity.befoundonline.co.nz/contact-us/

    How can I reduce the gaps to zero? If I clic-right and ‘Inspect’ the page I can see that there are 100px in the Padding. I’ve tried adding Custom CSS under Appearance > Custom Code > Reduce Margins

    .panel.widget,
    .panel-grid-cell section {
    padding-top: 0px;
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    }

    but it hasn’t helped. Perhaps you can help/advise?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Daniel,

    Could you link me to a page where Page Builder isn’t working for you? I can’t seem to replicate it. For reference, here’s what I see (although I’ve cropped it to remove any possible mention of your website):

    Hm. Could you maybe try editing a page builder powered page in a different browser? If that works, what about on a different computer?

    Regarding your follow-up issue, I cannot seem to see the referenced area screenshotted on your website. So my answer will be a general fix and may not completely remove the spacing from your website.

    There are two things being applied to a row, padding and row bottom margin. The latter is to allow for basic spacing and the former is used for design reasons, not spacing. To adjust these you can either edit them on a row by row basis (click the wrench above the row) or adjust the defaults by navigating to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the layout tab. Adjust the row bottom margin and row gutter.

    It should be noted if there’s any further spacing, something else is adding it (as in, we’re not adding it and it’s likely being added by your theme). I can help you remove it but I need to inspect the markup of the page to be able to work out what is adding it.

    Hi Alex,

    First issue has been resolved, I can see the Page Builder tab and am wrapping my head around working with it. I have also managed to remove most of the space between Rows.

    I also found the other setting that you mentioned before posting and already had them configured. Whatever was causing the massive spacing problems has disappeared.

    The last issue I'm having for now is in regards to how to remove the white space at the top of the content left behind when I hide the title. Any ideas?

    In the image below you can see a thick green 'margin' that I can't seem to remove, as well as white space above left behind after I've hidden the page title. How would I control these?

    FYI – it's the contact page –

    Thanks and appreciate the support :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Daniel,

    Please note that you cannot reply with images attached so I can’t actually see exactly what you’re referring but I can presume.

    Tru adding the following custom CSS to override the theme spacing. Please you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Please add the following CSS:

    .entry-header {	display: none;}.page-wrap .container {	padding: 0 30px !important;}#content {	padding: 0 !important;}

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
