Back to Vintage defaults

Hi,

I update to premium and was messing around with everything but now I want to start fresh again so do I have to uninstall the vintage theme or is there a back to default settings. I did find some defaults but did bring me back all the way. I messed around with the header, made custom links pointing to the old site, threw up a meta slider with some test graphics until I make the new ones, added some widgets and messed around with the colors etc. History doesn’t work since I sign out and in again. So I think I’m ready to put this together.

Also I want to add google adsense which I did find a plugin, I want to put a google search above the fold and a sky scrapper on the side like my original site that I had for 10 years or more which I first started designing with FrontPage then switched over to Dreamweaver I make money from google ads just for the content so it’s important that I have adsense on it, like stated I did find a plugin but that one wants me to upgrade to pro. Next I have to dig into the page builder to learn all it’s features. I did read about the child theme and I will set that up just for testing plugins and widgets etc. That’s all I can think of at this time, I been messing around with wordpress and vantage plus other themes for about a week now. I was old school code reader, still learning css. Thanks for your time. old site http://vintagetoyadvertisements.com/ and the new one http://vintagetoyadvertisements.com/mcpherson thanks for your time and I have to say I love the vantage theme. Peace

    Hi Timothy

    Thanks for the wait.

At the moment we only have a rest option in the Customizer. Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Design and click the words Theme Design at the top. There you’ll find a reset option. It’s unfortunately not possible to reset Theme Settings at the moment.

Integrating AdSense will depend on the plugin. There are some decent free plugins out there so don’t necessarily feel bound to one. Appearance > Widgets > Header and Appearance > Widgets > Sidebar are easily accessible widget areas to insert ads. Some plugins will also let you auto insert above and below the main content.

A child theme is only necessary if you need to edit theme files at a code level.

    Hope that helps.
