Hi,
I am facing exactly the same problem on this thread https://siteorigin.com/thread/auto-revert-to-visual-editor-and-now-cant-use-site-builder/ … I tried to comment on the thread but comments are closed. Also, it seems that the problem isn’t solved.
I am using Page Builder with Kadence Theme and it is reverting back to WP editor since SiteOrigin last update.
After the last update, most of my web pages styles were lost because my pages reverted to WordPress editor in HTML, although I’ve created my web pages using SiteOrigin page builder.
I solved the styling problem by downgrading Siteorigin but I still have problems in the styling of two pages and if I tried to edit any page it will lose its page builder style. And each time I fix it the editor reverts to wp editor and I lose page builder style.
I can’t even create new pages using page builder because once I update my content, the page transformed to WP editor in HTML.
Also, when I choose page builder I got this message: Would you like to copy this editor’s existing content to Page Builder?
Plz, help!
Of course, I tried many other solutions like cache cleaning and plugins deactivation but the problem still exist.
Thanks,
MO
Hi Mohammad,
I’m sorry to hear you’re facing a problem with SiteOrigin Page Builder. Would it be possible for you to update SiteOrigin page Builder and create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

Done

Hi Mohammad,
Thank you. SiteOirgin Page Builder is seeing the widgets without issue outside of the editing interface (it’s rendering correctly) but for whatever reason, the SiteOrigin Page Builder interface isn’t displaying correctly. This leads me to believe this is a possible plugin conflict but you’ve already ruled that out. Hm. Can you please try temporarily changing theme to see if that helps?
Done and it seems that I have the same problem
Hi Mohammad,
Thanks. Would it be possible for me to create a local backup of your website? This will allow me to run some tests against the code to hopefully work out what’s going wrong.
Okay, no problem and in the meanwhile, I’ll activate my theme and downgrade page builder plugin.
Hi Mohammad,
Thanks. I’ve run some tests and I’ve identified this as an issue related to your theme.
Specifically, your theme is conflicting with Smart Crawl. This issue will no longer occur upon changing theme or deactivating Smart Crawl (while using still using Pinnacle). If this issue remains after deactivating either, please ensure you’ve cleared your browser cache.
Please report this issue to Kadence Themes. I’ve also logged this issue with the development team just in case there is something we can change to prevent SiteOrgin Page Builder from being affected by this conflict.
It should also be noted that I see a pending update for your theme. The update is actually for an older version of the theme so it’s possible the latest update has been rolled back. I would try running the update to see if that helps.
Hi Alex,
Many thanks for your help. Now I am using the theme’s older version and it works well without any conflicts. But to do so I restored a one-week-old website back up as I couldn’t update the theme.
Regards,
MO :)
Super, glad to hear you were able to find a solution. All the best :)
