I’m starting to pull my hair out over this. I purchased the Smartmag theme from Themeforest. Everything is good except when I edit the page builder (editing a page) and save it. It reverts back to nothing.
I’ve done literally EVERYTHING to try fix it. Deactivated all plugins, clear cache, different browsers, even deleted my whole site and reinstalled a fresh wordpress and smartmag theme only, yet it still won’t save.
I’ve tried unticking/ticking the visual editor (+ clearing browser/cache all the time) under profile but that didn’t do anything. It’s impossible to save changes on the page builder.
I am out of ideas and it’s frustrating the hell out of me.

To confirm, after saving your changes aren’t reflected in the WordPress admin, is that correct?
Steps you can try that you might not have yet.
1. Complete the plugin conflict test by temporarily deactivating all plugins and also switching to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. In this state, with only SiteOrigin plugins activated, does the issue persist?
1. Check for JavaScript errors before and after saving the page.

2. Enable debug and debug log, recreate the issue and then check error logs.
