I’m currently under-utilising NextGen Pro, am not renewing the licence and am now looking for alternative gallery options. In the near future I’ll want to include an e-commerce, digital download solution as well.
What gallery widgets/plugins are your favourites that play well together?
Currently using Vantage with PB etc.
All recommendations gratefully received.

What are pro features of NextGen you specifically using? I ask because not all features are present in all gallery plugins so an otherwise valid suggestion may be invalid as a result.
Regardless, I typically use and recommend FooGallery and the SiteOrigin Image Grid with Lightbox.
Thanks for the suggestion, Alex. FooGallery seems to meet most needs. One feature that I use with NextGen that doesn’t seem to be on Foo is main image with a scrolling filmstrip underneath. This has been a convenient way to be able to access multiple images in a smaller space without the need to use a link to a gallery.
I’m always open to changing things around so if there’s something I’ve missed, do let me know.

Unfortunately, we’re don’t know any gallery plugins that include the Film Strip that we would actively recommend. Sorry mate. :(
