Adjusting where Hero image sits

7 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 7 years ago

Hello,

I use SiteOrigin Hero on my homepage for a slider of current announcements.

I would like to make the hero slider appear more narrow, say 340 px or so, but when I make that change the background images do not work well. Heads get chopped off, eyes get cut out of the frame, etc. Is there any way to make the images sit better in the frame, without cropping them beforehand every time I add a new one?

my website is here:

Thanks for your help!

Erica

    Hi Erica,

    You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Add the following CSS:

    .sow-slider-base ul.sow-slider-images li.sow-slider-image .sow-slider-image-overlay.sow-slider-image-cover {
    	background-position: top;
    }

    How does that look?

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
