Custom Menu in Sidebar Inside a box

Hello! I can’t find that anyone else has requested this yet. Client wants to put the custom menu (on the top of the side bar) in a colored box. Hello, I've tried many things, but I can't seem to bold the nav menu. For whatever reason, something works on one site but not the other.

Fixing autoplay on video backgrounds causes misalignment on slider overlay
