YouTube video resizing

Hey guys,

I have two questions. When you visit a page that features a YouTube video on my site, it seems that the YouTube video loads twice. First, at a smaller size, and then it re-sizes to a larger size. Is there a way to make it just load once and stay at that size?

Example Url: http://rockclass101.com/ukulele-songs/

Click any song listed in this page to see the above. I believe the FlowPlayer video (second video) on the page is messing with it.

Also, how would I decrease the size, and if I did: would the video be too large for mobile? I’d like to size the videos at 640 x 360.

Thanks,

Drew

    Hi Hardel

The answer is FitVids.js. Please see my full explanation and possible solutions here:

Thread: How can I stop my video displaying at full width?

FitVids is doing a job; handling video resizing on different devices so keep that in mind before turning it off.

    Hope that helps :)
